Women come to River Rose for different reasons. Some have a specific idea or set in mind. Some are planning a gift, marking something personal, or finally doing something they have thought about for years. Others simply want photographs of themselves and do not need a bigger reason than that.
That is where we start.
Before your session, we talk through what you want to create, how you want to be photographed, wardrobe, comfort level, boundaries, and anything else you want us to know. You do not need to show up with everything figured out. Part of our job is helping you take an idea, even a loose one, and turn it into something that photographs well.
During the session, you are guided through posing, movement, expression, wardrobe, and the details happening inside the frame. Whether Shane Michael or one of our female associates is photographing your session, a female posing coach and assistant stay with you throughout the shoot.
River Rose is built around strong photography and an experience that gives us the time, trust, and direction to do it well.

The Conversation
Every River Rose experience starts with a consultation. We talk about what brought you in, what you want from the photographs, any ideas or sets you already have in mind, your boundaries, and the questions you want answered before deciding to book.
The Plan
Once you book, we start putting the session together. We talk through wardrobe, styling, sets, comfort level, and the overall direction so we are not making those decisions for the first time when you walk into the studio.
The Session
You are guided throughout the session. We direct posing, movement and expression while your female posing coach and assistant help with wardrobe, hair, hands, bends, and the small adjustments that make a difference in the final image. You are never left standing in front of the camera wondering what you are supposed to do next.
The Gallery
Sneak peeks are delivered within 24 to 48 hours, with your finished gallery ready in about four weeks. Your session includes a set number of finished images based on the experience you choose, with additional images and product options available if you want more.

We can start with a set, a piece of wardrobe, tattoos you want photographed, bridal pieces, a certain mood, something you saved for reference, or an idea you want us to help develop.
The point is not to put every woman through the same session. It is to figure out what you want yours to look like.
