The DISCOVERY Circle: Boudoir With Your People

Doing a boudoir session by yourself can feel intimidating.

Doing it with a few women you already know can make the whole thing easier.

That’s the idea behind the DISCOVERY Circle.

It’s a private group boudoir experience for four or more women. You come together, but each person still gets her own time in front of the camera, her own posing guidance, and her own images.

You’re sharing the experience without giving up the individual session.

You’re Walking In With People You Know

For a lot of women, the hardest part is simply getting through the door.

With a DISCOVERY Circle, you aren’t doing that part alone.

You already know the people you came with. You can talk, laugh, ask questions, and watch how the session works before it’s your turn.

That can take a lot of the uncertainty out of the beginning.

You Get to See How the Process Works

One advantage of a group session is being able to watch someone else go first.

You see the posing direction.

You see how much instruction is given.

You see the small adjustments we make with hands, shoulders, posture, expression, and movement.

By the time it’s your turn, the session doesn’t feel nearly as unfamiliar.

You already know what the room looks like and how we work.

Everyone Still Gets Individual Time

A DISCOVERY Circle isn’t four people trying to shoot at the same time.

Each woman gets her own time in front of the camera.

We work with you individually, guide the posing, make adjustments, and create images around the looks we planned for you.

While one person is shooting, the rest of the group can relax and hang out until it’s their turn.

Nobody gets rushed through just because it’s a group session.

We Photograph the Group Too

You’ll also have the option to create a few images together.

Those can be simple portraits, something more playful, or whatever fits the group.

The individual photographs are still the main part of the experience, but the group images give you something from the day you all shared together.

What the Day Looks Like

First, you get your group together.

DISCOVERY Circle Sessions have a four-person minimum.

From there, we schedule the date and start planning.

Before the session, we’ll talk about wardrobe, the kinds of images everyone wants, boundaries, and how the day will be structured.

You don’t need to practice posing or know what you’re doing before you arrive.

On session day, each person rotates through her own guided portion of the session while the rest of the group hangs out.

We’ll also build in time for the group photographs.

After the session, each person receives her own private gallery and chooses the images she wants.

Why Women Book Them

We’ve had women plan group boudoir around birthdays, friendships, celebrations, or simply because several of them had been talking about doing a session and decided to do it together.

You don’t need a big reason.

Sometimes you just have a group of women who have all been curious about boudoir and would rather experience it together than come in separately.

That’s enough.

You’ll still have your own session time.

You’ll still be guided through everything.

You’ll just have your people there with you while you do it.
